The above rates are for the use of the entire boat, with crew & the use of tender boats, fishing tackle, fishing lesson & birding trips. The boat is serviced & the crew will also prepare meals.

NB RATES:

Includes : Full breakfast, lunch, snacks at sundown and three course dinner. Transfers from Shakawe airport to Ngwesi and Activities on tender boats, excluding fuel.

Excludes: Refreshments (soft drinks and alcohol), Ice, items of a personal nature, Fuel and transfers.

Guests may not supply their own fuel. Fuel will be supplied and charged as per usage and will be payable at Sepupa on completion of the trip.

ACTIVITIES:

Fishing: For the fly fisherman/woman, plying for tiger fish provides the ultimate challenge. Other species such as bream are also found in the Delta. Some fishing tackle are provided along with an informative skipper who will select a prime spot from where catches are to be made. Serious fishermen should bring their own fishing gear.

Birding : Ornithologists have long been drawn to this veritable treasure trove of bird life, which is home to over 400 species of birds among others the Pel’s Fishing Owl, which is often heard but rarely seen.

The Delta’s wetland wilderness of looping channels - Islands forested with palms and wide grassy floodplains are host to a magnificent array of wild animals and birds.

River Boating : An excursion on a tender boat is one of the best ways to navigate this paradise of crystal clear water. This is included in the daily rate.

OPTIONAL EXTRA ACTIVITIES AVAILABLE:

Mokoro : Local ‘dugout canoes’. Based in Seronga (1 hour 15 mins boat trip away & land transfer). One of the most tranquil ways to experience the Okavango Delta at close range. This experience is a day trip that starts with a boat ride to Seronga, mokoro to an island for lunch & game walk, then return to Seronga by mokoro whereby you will be driven back to the houseboat by the tender boats. BWP 700 p.p.

Picnic on Island: Go by tender boats to an Island in the area with packed lunch. BWP 100 p.p.

Air transfers are booked with a charter company. The rates below are guide line rates and are correct at time of print (January 10). Due to the enormous fluctuation in fuel prices, these prices can be changed without prior notice.

(Aircraft is a Cessna 206 seating a max of 5pax)
